Ingredients:
Self raising flour – 350g
Butter (cold, cubed) – 100g
Sugar – 50g
Vanilla extract – 1.5tsp
Egg – 1
Milk – 100ml
Instructions:
Pre heat the oven to 200 Fan.
Pulse flour, butter and sugar until it resebles breadcrumbs in a chopper.
Beat the egg and milk together – leave some aside to use as a glaze later.
Gently mix the wet and dry ingredients together using a chopping action. Bring the final dough together with hands if needed.
Roll out to a 2cm thickness, and use a 7cm biscuit cutter. Glaze with the milk and egg mixture.
Bake for 12 minutes.
