Description:
This vintage inspired headband half hat has a base of buckram and wire. It is lined in silk satin and features vintage reclaimed wolf fur and a satin ribbon bow. (I found wolf fur off cuts in the back of my Grandma’s cupboard). It is designed to sit on the back and curve forward towards the ears. Crisp veiling ribbon is used to attach this hat to the head.
Design Inspiration:
1950s headband half hats. I wanted to find a way to use the fur off cuts. Wolf fur is very fluffy, but the only examples of vintage fur hats I found use more flatter rabbit or mink fur.
